Bertin Christelbauer

Cello

Bertin Christelbauer was born in 1978 in Sankt Polten, and grew up in Krems/Donau.

He started to learn Cello at the "Ludwig Ritter von Köchel“ music school with Franz

Lehner.

 

After the humanstic studies in Krems, he studied Cello at the "Konservatorium der

Stadt Wien" with prof. Josef Luitz and at the University for Music and Performing

Arts with Wolfgang Aichinger, with whom he absolved in 2006 the "Magistra

Artium" Diplom with Distinction.

 

He took also several Masterclasses in Austria, Germany, Italy and Slovenia, with

Teachers as Wolfgang Boettcher, Wolfgang Herzer and Robert Nagy.

 

He played several Concerts and Tournees with Wiener Philharmoniker, Wiener

Symphoniker, Tonkunstler Orchestra and Wiener Concertverein, and he played as

substitute in the Wiener Staatsoper and the Wiener Volksoper.

 

He has an intense chamber music activity, in duo with Harp or Contrabass or even in

Piano Trio (Betosi-Trio) and string quartet (Franz-Xaver-Frenzel-Quartett, Adalbert

Stifter-Quartett) until Octet.

 

He made concerts all over Europe, and also Asia and America, as well as Cd

recordings and performed several times as Soloist.

 

He is Solo-Cello beim Festival Sinfonietta Linz and Philharmonics Mundi.


Since 2006 he is a fix member of Bruckner Orchester Linz.
